Our program is led by two experienced mechanchim; Rabbi Yosef Avtzon and Rabbi Shmuel Schneerson. Not only do they bring a lot of chinuch experience but also great experience from running previous successful Yeshivas Kayitz programs.

Rabbi Avtzon and Rabbi Schneerson will be ably assisted by counselors and support staff. These staff members have been selected with great care to ensure a chassidishe, caring and warm Yeshivas Kayitz environment.

Rabbi Yosef Avtzon was born and raised in Yerusholayim and as such does not only bring much chinuch expertise but also great knowledge of Eretz Yisorel. He is currently a maggid shiur in Yeshivas Ohr Elchonon Chabad, Los Angeles, and teaches Smicha at Machon L’Hora’a OnlineSmicha.com.

Rabbi Avtzon has been involved in chinuch for a considerable amount of time and pioneered an incredibly successful Yeshivas Kayitz in the Congo in 2011. Rabbi Avtzon will run the limudim for YKY and intends to implement rigorous learning with an added emphasis on accountability in the learning. This will of course be complimented by many contemporary topics with experts in many Halachic and Torah fields.

Rabbi Shmuel Schneerson
Rabbi Shmuel Schneerson
Rabbi Shmuel Schneerson was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. After many years in Yeshiva, Rabbi Schneerson graduated with smicha from Machon L’Horah in Melbourne, Australia. Rabbi Schneerson has also previously served as a head counselor of Yeshivas Kayitz, South Africa, running a hugely successful program under Rabbi Noam Wagner.

Rabbi Schneerson spent time learning in Kolel Tzemach Tzedek where he noticed a great need to counsel bochurim who sought his guidance in a meaningful way. To this end, he has earned a Masters degree in Family and Marital Therapy as well as an associates certificate from the Viktor Frankl Institute for Logotherapy.
